Dr.Rajiv can independently handle babies born of 24 weeks gestation and with a birth weight of 600gms onwards. He can independently administer or organize a level III Neonatal Care Unit. He is willing to actively associate with any training programme or be a consultant for any advanced new born intensive care project in the contry or overseas. He is conversant with High Frequency ventilation and in the use of Nitric Oxide on critical neonates with respiratory distress.

Research and Development of ventilatory strategies in VLBW babies.
High freequency ventilation.
Maternal literacy pertaining to perinatal care.
Introduction of high risk concept in Kerala.
Regionalisation of mother and new born care.
