Kochi: Dr. Rajiv and his team are in a hard attempt to save the life of a prematurely born child who is only 32 weeks old and weighs
only 1.5kg through dialysis.
It is very rare incident in Kerala that such a baby with low birth weight undergoing dialysis. Baby shifted to the ventilator immediately
after birth due to difficulty in breathing and cardiac complaints. As ventilator did not seem to work, peritoneal dialysis was performed.
Brain and kidneys of the baby was in good condition.
