Kochi: Dialysis was performed on an eight month old prematurely born baby. Mother of the baby was admitted to the hospital for
immediate caesarean. It was indeed a brave attempt by Dr.Rajiv ,which succeeded in saving this 1.5kg baby.
Since the baby was diagnosed with breath difficulties as well as cardiac complaints, he was shifted to the ventilator. As the passage of
urine was blocked, venoarterial exchange transfusion was performed but to no avail. Following this peritoneal dialysis was performed. The
