Kochi: Dialysis has been performed on a newborn of only 32 weeks gestation. This risky procedure was performed by Dr.Rajiv and his
team at Ernakulam Kaloor PVS Hospital.
Dr.Rajiv says that it is the first time that dialysis is performed successfully on a premature baby in Kerala. This was performed on a
baby born at PVS on February 8, 1998.
This is also a milestone of Neonatal Intensive care in India.
