Kochi:Shanavas and Sheeja arrived in Nedumbasseri with many apprehensions and worries as they were travelling in the plane.Their baby
accompanied them,fitted allover its body with many tubes and a weak heartbeats.The baby was shifted from the airport to Amrutha hospital
in an ambulance.

The parents had tried a very adventurous experiment,witha wish to save their 5 month old baby girl,suffering from bleeding in the
brain,and other fatal conditions of the heart and respiratory tract.

Although ,their friends warned them about the risk of travelling with the baby in serious condition for 4 hours,doctors support
increased their confidence.

Sheeja,who works as an energency ambulance nurse,delivered the baby on March 14.,on the 7th month of pregnancy term.As the baby
suffered from congenital respiratory and brain complaints,she was put under ventilator.her birth weight was as low as 970gms.Although,she
was treated in dubai for 5 months,the condition did not seem to improve.It was at this juncture that the parents came to know about the
facility of Amrutha hospital.

Sheeja,Along with her husband sought the opinion of the doctors and decided to bring her to Kochi for further treatment.

The baby ,bought yesterday to Nedumbasseri,on an Emirates flight, had him accompanying from dubai , Dr.Mohammed Sadiq ,Nurse Mariamma
Kurian etc, who were sent by the authorities of Dubai Government to see to the health condition of the baby while travelling. They will
fly back the next day itself.

Baby was shifted from the airport in a ventilator facilitated ambulance. Dr.Rajiv, neonatologist of Amritha hospital says that this is
the first time in Kerala that a baby in such a condition travelled so far for medical treatment. The baby admitted in icu will take a few
days to complete her initial medical checkups.
