The boys brought to the hospital with high fever, muscle pain, skin rashes and headache undervent a thorough diagnosis before the infection was confirmed . The disease, also called Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, transmitted through an infected dog tick is very rarely found in India. This uncommon nature itself makes the diagnosis and treatment of the disease difficult as it would be mistaken for viral fever or measles .
